New England Patriots place left tackle Isaiah Wynn on injured reserve

The New England Patriots have put tackle Isaiah Wynn on reserve, marking the latest blow to an line.
Wynn didn’t come back to the match and suffered a foot injury in the first quarter of the 43-0 win of New England at Miami on Sunday.
By signing veteran lineman Caleb Benenoch, who’s played 35 games with 22 starts for Tampa Bay within the previous four 33, Wynn’s roster spot on Tuesday filled.
Here is the second straight year that Wynn has gone on IR. A Achilles tendon injury caused him to miss his rookie season in 2018.
The transfer means Wynn cannot return to clinic for six weeks. He must finish two weeks of training prior to returning to game action so would be qualified to match against the Philadelphia Eagles on November 17.
It’s a component of a string of injuries to hit on the Patriots’ offensive line this year. Following blood clots were found in his lungs center David Andrews started the year on injured reserve.
Furthermore, starting tackle Marcus Cannon didn’t play against the Dolphins as he continues to recover from the shoulder injury he sustained through the Patriots’ season opener.
Marshall Newhouse, who was signed started in Cannon’s area against Miami.
Coach Bill Belichick said they are coping with the shuffling up this season.
« I believe they’re trying to do the best they can, » he explained. « A number of these expected or had a chance to plan to get some happened rather fast and you have to respond to people.
« But yeah, that category is now really a hardworking group. Overall we have just attempted to take it daily and do the things which we may do. »
